Does the Hero Series also filter chlorine and improve taste?
The Hero Series is a water softener. Its main job is removing calcium and magnesium hardness, rather than replacing a dedicated chlorine or taste-and-odor filter. If you want both filtration and softening, ask us about the Liberty Series.
What is proportional brining?
Proportional brining adjusts the amount of brine used for regeneration to the softening capacity consumed. It helps avoid applying the same full salt dose when only part of the resin capacity needs to be restored.
How much salt will my softener use?
Salt use depends on incoming hardness, water consumption, system size, and programming. Proportional brining can reduce unnecessary salt use compared with conventional fixed-dose operation, but your refill schedule and savings depend on your home. We will explain the expected care before you choose.
Will softened water eliminate every spot?
Removing hardness helps prevent calcium and magnesium scale and reduces hardness-related spotting. Other dissolved substances, detergent residue, and existing glass damage can still leave marks. Softening does not guarantee completely spot-free surfaces.
Will every faucet receive softened water?
That depends on where the system connects to your plumbing. We review which fixtures will be treated and discuss outdoor taps, irrigation, drinking-water lines, and any requested bypasses before installation.
How is my system sized?
We consider measured water hardness, household water use, peak flow needs, and the plumbing layout. Proper sizing and settings support reliable softened water and efficient salt use.
